Un-winter

What's happened to our winter weather? Where is it hiding?

It took me a while to accept that as a Canadian living in Canada, winter exists and I need to live with it and in it. I'm sure that not having to battle it every day for work makes that acceptance a little easier.
Having accepted it, I'd like to see some snow. Have some dry, cold air to walk in. Some sunny days that follow snow days. Snow that stays around for more than a day.
If that's not going to happen, can I at least be presented with an opportunity to head somewhere sunny, dry, and a little warmer? Please?  : )
